The annual Defence and Industry Study Course (DISC) offers representatives from Victorian SMEs an opportunity to gain in-depth insight into how the defence industry, Department of Defence and the Australian Defence Force operate, as well as helping to forge lasting networking opportunities in the sector. It delivers Defence and industry executives an intimate understanding of Defence business while improving the collective knowledge of Australia’s defence industry.
As part of its commitment to upskilling and encouraging competitive development within Victoria’s SME community, the Victorian Government will subsidise up to five eligible participants in the 2018 DISC.
To be eligible for a Victorian Government DISC subsidy, a participant’s company must qualify as an SME (1-199 employees), have an operating presence in Victoria and be engaged in a Defence supply chain or be able to demonstrate a genuine intent to enter the Defence market.
To apply for the 2018 DISC course and Victorian Government DISC subsidy, you will need to complete the Capability and Sustainment Group application form and submit it to Defence, and also complete the Victorian Government application form and submit this to the Victorian Government.
The deadline for submitting applications is COB Friday, 16 February 2018.
