Protective armour for Army’s new CRVs to be produced in Bayswater if BAE Systems wins LAND 400 Phase 2

RUAG Australia will supply leading edge appliqué armour for the next generation of Australian Army Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles for LAND 400 Phase 2, if BAE Systems Australia wins the tender for this project.

The company has committed to a transfer of technology from RUAG Switzerland to RUAG Australia to enable the armour—which is already in service and combat tested—to be produced in Australia. Manufacture would take place at RUAG Australia’s Bayswater site in Victoria.
