Joint Strike Fighter at Avalon Airshow

The biggest airshow in the southern hemisphere – the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace and Defence Exposition, also known as the Avalon Airshow – was a great success attracting a record 210,664 people, smashing its 2015 attendance by 40,000.

Around 33,000 trade day delegates attended with 664 participating exhibitor companies, which included 213 international companies. The Airshow showcased Australian and international aerospace, aviation and defence industry capabilities, flying displays, in bound trade delegations, conferences and symposia, skills and career programs.

The Victorian Government has been a major sponsor of the Avalon Airshow since 2007 and has committed further sponsorship out to the 2025 show.
