Victorian Government Pavilion
From Tuesday 28 February to Sunday 5 March 2023, the Victorian Government hosted Victorian defence, aerospace and space companies and entities throughout AVALON 2023 on the Victorian Government Pavilion.
AVALON 2023 enabled critical engagement with key government and defence decision-makers, industry, and representatives from foreign air forces.
As well as hosting delegations, military personnel and VIPs at the Pavilion, the Victorian Defence Industry Advocate, Mr. Johnno O’Callaghan, members of the Defence Council Victoria, and the Defence, Aviation and Aerospace team attended the Airshow.
The show was a huge success, breaking record attendance numbers across both the industry trade and general public days:
From Tuesday 28 February to Sunday 5 March, the event saw:
- Approximately 248,000 trade and public attendees
- 48,516 industry day attendees, up 24 per cent since 2019
- 794 participating companies, up 14 per cent
- 234 official delegations, up 50 per cent.
