Professor Regina Crameri is the Head of Health at Austrade where she leads the investment and trade health portfolio securing trade pathways to market for Australian companies while working to ensure optimal health investments into Australia.

In her role as a Senior Defence Scientist at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG), she investigated the health, human performance and injury management of deployed special forces soldiers for 13 years. Regina also spent time investigating future patterns of technology development as a senior member of the Technology Forecasting and Futures team at DSTG.

She has held the position of Associate Director of the Defence Science Institute, where she helped to facilitate research and development that fosters a globally engaged, competitive and innovative defence and national security sector. More recently Regina was the Associate Dean of the Allied Health Cluster, School of Health and Biomedical Sciences at RMIT.

She is the Director and Founder of AIR4, an organisation that aims to change the paradigm of STEM education in Australia by encouraging students to study science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM) throughout their education to increase the talent pipeline for STEM industries. In her spare time, she is a mother to five children.

Professor Crameri graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in Biomedical Science. She has a PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Sydney and has held teaching positions at the University of Sydney and Concordia University, Canada.  She spent five years as a post-doctoral scientist at the prestigious Copenhagen Muscle Research Centre in Denmark.
